French consortium to project manage extension of Casablanca tram network

The project management contract to build Line 2 and extend Line 1 of Casablanca’s tram system has been awarded to a French consortium.

Systra, CID and AREP will lead the construction of 18 kilometres of new tramway in the city.

The expanded network is due to be completed in 2018. The 31-kilometre T1 line opened in December 2012.
