EIB to support MPK PoznaƄ tram and depot overhaul

Polish public transport authority MPK PoznaƄ has signed a loan agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to finance upgrades to its tram fleet and depots.

The deal is worth PLN 485 million (€114 million) to MPK PoznaƄ and will also be used to procure new electric buses and modernise the bus depot infrastructure.

MPK PoznaƄ has more than 200 vehicles in its tram fleet of different ages and models.

Its fleet includes Siemens Combino and Solaris Tramino vehicles, as well as trams from local supplier Modertrans PoznaƄ.
