Morson Group acquires Canadian recruitment firm

Technical recruitment specialists Morson Group has acquired Canadian firm Strategic Infusion (SI).

The deal covers SI’s four subsidiaries: Commissioning & Technical Services, in Canada; Commissioning & Technical Services and Comtask Global, both in the USA; and MComm Solution, in Puerto Rico.

Morson said that the acquisition strengthens its position in North America and in sectors such as power, telecommunications and engineering.

Morson Group CEO Ged Mason added: “There is a clear need for the talent and expertise in these sectors that we can source for our clients.

“The wider Group’s combined geographical presence will enhance reach and aid development of local personalised relationships with consultants, sub-contractors and clients and also provide the best possible continuity and variety of work assignments for our engaged contractor workforces.”

Headquartered in Burlington, Ontario, SI was founded in 2005 by Rick Goodman and Neil Smith. It currently has more than 400 contractors.

Founded in 1969, the Morson Group is a leading technical recruiter and an engineering design and project management company in the UK. It is headquartered in Manchester with 40 offices worldwide, has more than 14,000 contractors and a group annual turnover of around £800 million.
