CRRC pens 10-year strategic agreement with Talgo

Talgo has signed a 10-year deal with CRRC Sifang to make the Chinese manufacturer its primarily supplier of passenger information systems.

At the same time, the two parties have signed a batch order for F070 train infotainment systems, a deal worth around 60 million yuan (∼€7.6 million).

A CRRC spokesperson said the deal marks the first time that CRRC Sifang has exported the infotainment system directly to the European market.

They added: “The signing of this order marks the further enhancement of the recognition of the core technology of CRRC Sifang in the international market, and also laid a solid foundation for the company’s subsequent expansion in the international high-end market.”

The F070 train infotainment system includes internal and external train displays, media servers, in-car LCD TVs and passenger entertainment terminals.

Each train will be installed with more than 500 passenger entertainment terminals, which can be used by passengers for video on demand, listen to music, obtain travel information and call attendants.
