CrossCountry appoints Production Director

CrossCountry has appointed Helen Waters as the company’s Production Director.

Responsible for operations and engineering, Helen joins CrossCountry after recently completing a
number of projects with East Midlands Trains and Hitachi on the IEP project (InterCity Express
Programme).

Helen began her career with Steer Davies Gleave before holding a number of roles with Virgin
Trains.

Commenting on Helen’s appointment, CrossCountry Managing Director Andy Cooper said: “Helen brings a wealth of experience to our senior management team and her skills in change and project management will be essential moving forward. I know Helen will make a major contribution to our business and help maintain CrossCountry as a respected, safe and innovative UK train operator.

Helen took up her new role on 13th September and will be based at CrossCountry’s Birmingham
headquarters. She replaces Sarah Kendall who has moved to work within Arriva’s Mainland
Europe management team.
