Nomad Digital Ltd has been awarded a contract for its WiFi solution by Czech rail company, LEO Express.

LEO Express has selected Nomad to provide its technology on the new Stadler Flirt fleet.

The first of 5 trains was accepted by the Czech operator in February and full fleet rollout is ‘anticipated by December 2012’.

The service will run between Prague and Ostrava.

This is the first of LEO Express’ passenger WiFi projects, which in the next few years will be followed by other train units running on other routes.

Leoš Novotný, Chairman of LEO Group, commented:

“We selected Nomad on a combination of their proven technology, previous experience of the Stadler Flirt for NSB, and excellent customer references.

“We look forward to delivering a great passenger WiFi solution as part of LEO Express’ commitment to providing an enhanced passenger experience.”
