Siemens has released photos of the first painted body shell of a new fleet of metro trains for the German city of Nuremberg.

They will also be pre-equipped for fully automated operation, with driver’s cabs designed to permit easy removal.

Delivery of the new vehicles is due to take place by the end of 2018.
